Project Manager

General Position Overview

Bandak PM is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Project Manager for our office here in San Diego, California. The Candidate will provide project management services for our commercial, institutional, hospitality, life science, and biotech projects. This is an in-office role, at the moment we are considering local candidates only.

Candidates must possess the demonstrated qualifications and experience in all areas of project management including estimating, scheduling, design management, constructability management, project accounting, contract development, client management, and other project management skills. The Project Manager position requires the ability to balance the technical aspects of the scope of a project while effectively advocating for our clients and working seamlessly with the variety of professionals providing service on the project.

  • • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study and 5-7 years of experience in the commercial real estate or construction industry. Relevant fields of study include Construction Management or Service, Finance or Business, and / or Design-related field of study.

    • Candidates must have experience managing contractors, design teams, and third-party consultants.

    • Candidates must demonstrate proficient written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong skills using applications such as MS Office, Excel, Bluebeam, MS Project, P6 Primavera, and Adobe.

    • Public works experience is a plus.

  • • Effectively managing the relationships between the client, design team, contractor and any other agency representatives. A Project Manager is also expected to further develop these relationships.

    • Coordinating and directing multiple disciplines in a high intensity environment.

    • Directing and coordinating activities between architect, engineers, the general contractor, and other disciplines to ensure the project maintains budget and schedule.

    • Provide cursory enforcement of the contract and diligently work with the applicable teams for contract and scope compliance.

    • Leadership, organization, and execution of project assignments for projects both large and small.

    • Estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress billing, design review, cost reporting, proposal preparation, and communication.

    • Communicating with the client and their agents on all relevant issues in an expeditious and responsible manner. Must have an understanding of project risks and develop mitigation plans and strategies.

    • Traveling to each job site and engaging in physical activities to manage the site. These include but are not limited to: standing for long periods of time, walking over uneven terrain, climbing, stooping, lifting, and other related activities.
